Connected: Finding My Truth

CONNECTED: Finding My Truth is a powerful memoir of identity, resilience, and the
search for belonging. Born in Montreal and raised in New York, Diana Kayla Hochberg
grew up believing she knew her story. Decades later, a shocking discovery revealed she
was a Late Discovery Black Market Baby, sold through an illicit adoption network. What
followed was a relentless quest to uncover the truth about her origins.

Blending personal narrative with investigative research and historical context, Diana
traces hidden family lines, confronts long-buried secrets, and navigates the emotional
fallout of discovering that everything she believed about her beginnings was incomplete.
Using DNA evidence, archival records, and personal correspondence, she pieces
together a fragmented past while redefining what family truly means.

Both deeply personal and universally resonant, CONNECTED speaks to anyone who
has questioned their identity, searched for lost roots, or faced the courage required to
confront the truth. It is a story of survival, healing, and the enduring human need to
belong.
